It is in everyone’s interest that concerns and complaints are resolved at the earliest possible stage. We take concerns seriously and make every effort to resolve the matter as quickly as possible. Parents should first contact the class teacher to discuss matters informally and if these remain unresolved, contact the Headteacher. While most issues can be resolved without the need to follow formal procedures, there will be occasions when complainants want to raise their concerns formally and in those cases, the complaints procedure below will be followed.

We believe in educating our children to be good citizens and to develop the skills they need to have a rewarding and productive life in modern Britain.
We celebrate cultural diversity in our school and community through visits, visitors, themed days, assemblies and more, whilst learning what it is to be a British citizen. We provide a broad and balanced PSHE, RE and Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development (SMSC) curriculum which explicitly teaches the children the importance of democracy, rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of different faiths.
We are committed to keeping all Elsworth Primary School children safe and happy in all aspects of their lives.
Prevent
“Prevent” is a government strategy designed to stop individuals becoming terrorists or supporting terrorist or extreme causes. From July 2015 all schools have a duty of care to safeguard children from radicalisation or extremism.
All staff are regularly trained to monitor and safeguard all our children and know what to do if they are ever concerned about a child.
