A Governor at our school serves a term of four years and will sit on at least one of the below sub-committees:
- Finance, Personnel and Health & Safety Committee (FPH&S)
- Learning & Standards Committee (L&S).
They meet at least once a term and report back to the Full Governing Body (FGB), which meets at least once a term too.
Governors are selected and appointed on their skills and experience to fulfil the core functions outlined above. A skills audit is regularly carried out to identify any gaps, which are addressed. Training is available to refresh and enhance their skills and to develop new ones.
The current chair of Governors is Dinah Papworth. The current Vice-Chair is Clair Harrison.
The full governing body (FGB) has delegated some responsibilities to sub committees.
